The Friends of Whitkirk Primary PTA is a registered charity and was set up to raise additional funds for the school to provide equipment and opportunities for our children. It is a group made up of teachers and parents who work together to promote the community of the school. We meet on a regular basis to organise events such as our annual Summer Fair and end of term discos.

The money raised by the PTA goes directly back into the school to fund additional opportunities for children in all year groups. In the past the PTA have raised funds to provide the adventure trails for the playground, theatre visits, school trips, cooking equipment such as portable cooking stations and much more.

The PTA group is made up of volunteers with the following taking on set roles:
Chairperson - Claire Williamson
Secretary - Bex Fernandes
Treasurer - Natalie Morrison

We hold regular meetings (usually in the pub!) to discuss suggestions for fundraising ideas, upcoming events and funding requests from the school. Many of our PTA volunteers help out when they can with preparations or at events, attend the coffee mornings for a chat and go along to meetings. 

Join us for a cuppa
The group meets on Friday mornings from 9.15 am, after Stay&Play, Stay&Read and Great Learning Assemblies, for a cuppa and a chat in the Whikidz Room. All are welcome, including pre school children. We use this time to chat and generally catch up, as well as making plans for upcoming events.
