Happy Easter! (But don’t forget to come in next week!)

Yes, here we are at the Easter weekend, but not breaking for the Easter holidays until next week – confusing? I’m not surprised! Check the diary section below to confirm the term dates and don’t miss a day of school – they are too important. So, here’s a quick message as we break for the long weekend.

GREAT LEARNING ASSEMBLIES – Cancelled this week.

Because we are not in school tomorrow, the Great Learning Assemblies will resume next week. Also, because of the PTA’s Easter Disco (the fun just keeps on coming!), both Key Stage Assemblies will happen at the same time – but in different halls – so the children will be presented with their awards in the morning, with both assemblies starting at around 9.10 a.m. Hope to see you there.

SPORT RELIEF

Thank you so much for your support last Friday and for your generous donations. We had a great deal of fun in our sporting outfits (you’ll be pleased to know I found my ball in the end – it was in the rough, as somebody had suggested!) and the children took part in some great sporting activity during the day. We also managed to raise a brilliant £209 for this great charity. Well done, everyone!

EASTER EGG COMPETITION

Mr Evans had the dubious pleasure of judging the winning entries in each class today and I know he had a great time doing it. The quality of the entries was, as usual, very high. I wasn’t part of the judging but I saw a few and couldn’t help picking my particular favourite – can you tell who it’s meant to be? Great work, Poppy!
