Dear Parents and Carers
A short note this week to keep families up to date with some important events taking place in school.
Thank you to all of the parents and carers who have signed up to join the workshop on rewards and sanctions on Tuesday 21st May at 9.15am. If you would like to attend, please contact the office staff to register your interest. If you are unable to attend on this date, I am exploring ways you will be able to participate and contribute your ideas. I will be in touch shortly to collate your thoughts should you be unable to attend.
As you may be aware the Year 6 will take their end of year SATS, week starting 13th May. Please refer to Miss Quarmby’s letter for guidance and advice. All of the children have worked very hard and we wish them every success next week!
Some children bring mobile phones to school so parents know they have safely arrived. To ensure the safeguarding of all of our children and to ensure phones are not lost, please can you remind your child to hand their phone into the office at the start of the day. Phones can then be kept safe and collected at 3.15pm.
Thank you to the parents who have spoken to me about EYFS transition events, please find attached the proposed transition schedule. This will also be posted directly to the families of children who have contacted the school to accept their school place. We all very much look forward to welcoming all of the children and families to Whitkirk.
Once again, thank you to all of the parents who come to speak to me on the playground, before and after school. If you have any questions or suggestions don’t hesitate to pop over and have a chat as your ideas, suggestions and comments are invaluable to our school improvement journey.
