We are fortunate enough to work closely with Red Kite Learning Trust’s Temple Newsam Community Partnership Team.  The Cluster team provides a comprehensive package of support for children, young people and their families who are living with a wide range of social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.  In the last academic year, 253 young people and their families received guidance from the specialists in the team.

The services they offer include the following:

Parental Support – provides parents with the advice and guidance they need to fully support the young people in their families.  This is delivered on a 1:1 basis and includes access to parental support groups and training.  Intensive family support can include advice on housing and benefits as well as accessing other Leeds City Council services.

The Counselling and Emotional Wellbeing Team has recently benefited from the additional of a qualified integrative counsellor.  Working alongside two other Emotional Wellbeing workers, they support children and young people who are experiencing a wide range of issues.  Starting with early help interventions for mild to moderate mental health difficulties, they are also experienced in helping with self-harm, trauma and suicide ideation.

The Attendance team seek to achieve the consistent attendance of all the students enrolled in the Cluster schools.   Consistent attendance is essential for a young person to achieve their academic and social potential.   The Team provides advice, support and techniques to achieve high levels of attendance for all our pupils.
