Celebrating achievement, recognising progress and striving for excellence
At Whitkirk Primary School, we are ambitious for every child. We believe that all children deserve an excellent education that enables them to achieve their potential, develop confidence in their abilities and build strong foundations for their future learning.
Achievement is one of our six school values, and we celebrate success in all its forms. We recognise that every child has their own starting point, strengths and challenges, and we are committed to ensuring that all pupils receive the teaching, support and opportunities they need to succeed.
Academic outcomes are an important part of understanding how well our children are achieving. Through high-quality teaching, a carefully planned curriculum and regular assessment, we work to ensure that children develop secure knowledge and skills, make strong progress and are well prepared for the next stage of their education.
We use assessment information thoughtfully to celebrate achievement, identify where additional support may be needed and continually strengthen our provision. We are particularly ambitious for disadvantaged pupils and children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Our published results provide a snapshot of children's attainment at key points in their primary education, including the Early Years Foundation Stage, phonics, multiplication tables and the end of Key Stage 2.
Our ambition is simple: every child leaves Whitkirk with strong foundations in learning, pride in their achievements and the knowledge, confidence and ambition to make the very most of their One Life.
