Whitkirk Primary School is situated on the eastern edge of the city of Leeds. It is a much-loved primary school with several generations of the same family attending Whitkirk from when it opened as Halton Middle School in 1974 to when it converted to Whitkirk Primary School in 1992.

Whitkirk Primary School is very proud of its locality; as you can see from our school logo, we have a strong relationship with our church, St Mary’s, where we both visit reciprocally and also Temple Newsam which poses the perfect opportunity to learn about the fascinating history of our local area.

When a child is settled, safe and happy then they are able to begin their learning journey….and what a brilliant learning journey we have planned for you!
