The Importance of Attendance
At Whitkirk Primary School, we believe that excellent attendance is essential for every child to achieve their full potential. Being in school every day and on time ensures children:
School starts at 8:45am. Doors open for Key Stage 2 at 8:35am.
If your child is absent, please call school each day to leave a message for the Attendance Team on 0113 2606203 (select ‘attendance’). Our team is here to offer support and guidance whenever needed.
Monitoring Attendance
If a child is absent and we haven’t heard from a parent or carer, we will contact you to ensure your child is safe and to offer any necessary support.
We are required to follow up with families where attendance becomes a concern. Working together helps us ensure every child can attend school regularly and thrive.
